African Pygmy Goats Arrive at Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo

Just in time for Dallas Roars!, the Zoo is happy to welcome a herd of 11 young African pygmy goats to the petting area of the children’s zoo. Kids of all ages will enjoy interacting with these friendly, curious goats. In addition, the Zoo is sponsoring a naming contest for all 11 individuals of the herd – the public is invited to nominate names of cities or towns in Texas and the 11 most popular names will be selected (if appropriate). All those submitting winning names will be entered into a drawing for 11 Family memberships to the Zoo. Entry forms are available at DallasZoo.com or at the Zoo ticket booths. Entries will be accepted through Sunday, May 2. The new names and contest winners will be announced before Mother’s Day weekend.
